Sean Logan

Sean is a recent history and political science graduate from UBC. His studies focused on modern history, comparative politics and international relations. He is passionate about human rights and the environment and hopes to work for an organization that advocates for these issues in the future. His goal is to return to school to complete a master's degree in political science in 2021.

Asha Sahota

Asha is a fourth year Political Science major and Law and Society minor at the University of British Columbia. Her academic interests involve the study of climate justice, Indigenous- immigrant relations, race-relations, and foreign policy as it pertains to the Asia-Pacific region. Asha works with the Law Society of British Columbia through their pro bono legal program and holds a position as a policy analyst with the BCCIC in their climate migration branch. She is also a member of a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and grief counselling to children who have a parent with a terminal illness. She hopes to pursue a career in social justice and activism that elevates the voices of marginalized and racialized communities. Asha is looking forward to expanding her knowledge of the R2P principle during her time with the CCR2P.

Ann Dickie

Ann Dickie is a first year MA student in International Affairs at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs specializing in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. She graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts double majoring in Political Science and History in May 2020. Throughout her undergraduate career she became involved in the Model UN conferences thrown by McGill, which introduced her to an array of international issues and inspired her to continue her education in international affairs, and seek out organizations such as CCR2P to become involved with. She is interested in the use of covert operations to interfere with sovereign governments as well as the limitations and capabilities of international law. She is excited to apply her knowledge to CCR2P, as well as learn more about actively promoting the principles of CCR2P.

Owen Saunders

Saunders is an MA Candidate at King’s College London, Department of War Studies, in International Peace and Security. He graduated his BA (Hons.) at Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada in June of 2020. He previously held a position at the Royal Military College of Canada as a research assistant, while working on an undergraduate research fellowship on the topic of cyber electoral interference in the FVEY Alliance. He was able to present this research at SERENE-RISC Cybersecurity Network at the University of Ottawa, and have the work accepted to the Midwest Political Science Association in Chicago, Illinois. Saunders is currently working toward the completion of his MA where he will continue to think critically about security implications and threats in a technologically evolving world. His aim is to examine security in a multifaceted and interdisciplinary way, gaining experience researching and writing about the evolution and mitigation of security threats both in Canada and the United Kingdom

Momo Sakudo

Momo Sakudo is currently an MPP candidate at the School of Public Affairs in Sciences Po Paris. In May 2020 she graduated from the Dual Bachelor of Arts program between Sciences Po Paris and the University of British Columbia where she majored in law with a specialization in Asia-Europe relations followed by a major in political science and minor in law and society. During her time at the University of British Columbia, Momo also did a semester abroad in the Netherlands at the International Honours College of Leiden University where she focused on transitional justice and world politics. Previously she has interned with the European Parliament and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada where she assisted in research on various topics. As a Japanese national raised in Canada, Momo is interested in Asia’s growing role in the international community; especially in relation to North America and Europe. She is fascinated by the complexity of international law and specifically international criminal law in the time of globalization
